Our Story

The firm’s CEO is Katia Marten, who has a background in architecture and design through her firm KMA Design in Costa Rica- an architecture firm that she founded more than 30 years ago in the country.

Now based out of Canada, Katia has started a property development firm in Toronto. She is constantly intrigued by the Canadian real estate and design industries. At KMD Group, we are working closely with qualified professionals and consultants to offer one of a kind spaces. Spaces that are unique, customized and most of all beautiful and functional.

Our conceptual designs are being provided by our award winning sister company KMA Design. At KMD Group we are cognizant of the importance of respecting the land and traditions where one lives. With our projects, we are committed to providing a high-end product that brings a combination of the Costa Rican and Canadian aesthetic and architectural styles to Canada. The business aims to provide superior design, project management and construction and services using technologically superior processes, providing greater value for clients and enhanced design and construction. We intend to honor the Canadian landscape with all our projects. We are continuously trying to learn more and stay on the cutting edge by being innovative. We are striving to utilize concepts like passive house design and ensuring to design in harmony with nature.
